On January 1, 2022, I start a year-long writing project called Capacity. It will comprise 100 entries for the year, with each piece assembled from a handful of small writings and photos I pull from the few moments I find throughout the day, which, as a single mom with two jobs, can be sparse. These are then compiled and pulled into an “entry” in the project—a poem, prose, or shades of a story that will emerge as the year progresses. Edits will be kept to a minimum; expect flaws. Capacity is about tying together a body of words created in fragments and mapping them into a whole. Starting January 1, 2022, one-hundred text+photo entries in one calendar year, found here and on my Instagram page. More soon.
